YES Summer Basketball

Register here for the 2017 YES Summer Basketball League.

The YES! Summer Basketball League is a dynamic program emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship. Each year more than 350 student athletes travel from over 100 towns and 7 counties to participate in the YES! Summer Basketball League. The program takes place in the summer from mid-June to mid-August, with practices starting the week of June 15. Each week teams will play and compete on the basketball court in an hour-long basketball game. In addition, each week two YES! games will be selected as the “YES! TV game of The Week”, which will be aired on Time Warner Cable television station channel 5.

Within each league, teams composed of youth with varying skills are matched with other teams of similarly skilled players. Players are incorporated into each game in a fair and equitable manner. Good sportsmanship is the underlying theme as well as development of athletic and basketball skills.

The YES! Summer League fields boys and girls teams in the 2nd/3rd Grade Division, 4th/5th Grade Division, 6th/7th Grade Division, and the 8th/9th Grade Division. The YES! Summer Basketball League offers each team a game on Saturday from mid-June through mid-August. Each team will have a one-hour practice one day each week and each player will also sign up for a 1-hour skills session at The Summer Basketball Academy in addition to their regularly scheduled practice.  The second week of August will start off with All-Star games with the best players from the league from each age division and continue through that week with playoff games (all teams make the playoffs), with championship games being held on Saturday, August 13th.

Registration fees for the Summer Basketball League are from $145-$295. Please pay what you can afford to pay within this range. Please be aware that the YES! Program is a non-profit organization and parents who are able to pay the higher amount allows us to offer scholarships or fee waivers to deserving athletes who are not able to afford the enrollment fee. So if you can afford to pay the higher amount or a little more, please do so.

Credit card and debit card payments can be made at the time of registration through TeamSnap or you can select to pay offline via cash or check.  Payment is expected by the start of the season.  If payment is not received by the second scheduled game of the season, players will not be allowed to play until the account has been settled.
